System
The
single most important factor driving successful trading today
is quick, effective communications.Deals can be made and lost
in a matter of seconds. To stay ahead, not even a single call can
be lost.Choosing a communication system for a trading room means
first selecting the best architecture platform. This will drive
other decisions such as the performance of turrets or speaker
modules.
Designed
for high performance, the Etradeal system is robust, fast and reliable.
It provides immediate recovery if the worst actuallyhappens. Ready
for future expansion from day one,the system is able to support
up to 4,000 positions. Because the trend is to deal closer to
where business is actually done, Etrali offers enterprise-wide
platforms with true free-seating facilities for all users, which
can easily be built by seamlessly connecting together several
Etradeal systems.
The Etradeal system is the only F2F(Finance-to-Finance) communication
platform offering both IP (InternetProtocol) and traditional TDM
(TimeDivision Multiplexing) built-in, thusenabling professionals
to choose and control their technology. The Etradeal system’s
unique architecture is available in a comprehensive, scalable
range of systems (Compact &, 1Gb),all of which provide numerous
benefits. Moreover, Etradeal’s open architecture is based
on market standards (TAPI,SNMP,LDAP…),which makes possible
seamless integration with virtually any other ITsystem.

The
Etradeal system guarantees maximum back-up capabilities
and non-locking capacity, thanks to adistributed architecture
based on FDDI solutions. To ensure high communication volumes
without loss of calls, the Etradeal architecture features
a duplicated bus, offering true high availability. All dealeractions
lead to an immediate result: response times are less than
20ms.
Fixed time
slots are allocated to each line, microphone, speaker or
handset. All information circulates in an orderly fashion
at the bus speed of 160Mb/s or 1Gb/s, and is available to
all boards without any possible collision. Each bus is duplicated
on every equipment rack,so that all information circulates
independently on each bus.Resources such as lines, information,
profiles and functions are easily shared. Moreover, alternate
turrets can be connected to alternate systems in a so-called
“salt-and-pepper distribution”, whichreduces
the risks of service outages whilefacilitating back-up and
recovery.
